The Heart of the Festival: Kite Flying Competition

At the core of this festival is the exciting Kite Flying Competition. From seasoned kite enthusiasts to first-time flyers, this event is open to everyone eager to conquer the skies. The rules are simple yet thrilling: participants will purchase a kite at a nominal price and receive a roll of thread that’s handed back after the contest. This setup not only ensures fairness but also fosters a sense of community spirit as people from all walks of life join together for the fun.

With multiple rounds ensuring prolonged engagement and friendly rivalry, the competition will keep the audience on their toes! Prizes will be awarded to the best flyers, with the top competitors taking home certificates and encouragement. And don’t worry—every participant will receive a certificate of appreciation, making sure no one leaves empty-handed. This isn’t just about winning; it’s about soaring together, under one sky.

A Taste of Local Flavor

What’s a festival without food? At the Arya Kite Festival, we go beyond the ordinary by offering a culinary journey into the rich and vibrant Gorkha food culture. Local businesses, families, and self-help groups will set up food stalls, giving visitors a chance to savor authentic delicacies that have been passed down through generations. From spicy, tangy Momo to the irresistible flavors of Sel Roti and Aloo Dum, the festival promises to be a feast for your taste buds.

This is more than just food—it’s a celebration of our roots and an opportunity to promote local entrepreneurship. By supporting these stalls, you’re contributing directly to the community and helping preserve the rich food traditions of the hills.

Eco-Friendly Fun

At Arya Tea Estate, we know that true celebration lies in harmony with nature. That’s why the Arya Kite Festival is designed as an eco-friendly event. Every effort is made to ensure a zero-waste experience, from the materials used for the kites to the management of waste during the event. By prioritizing eco-friendly practices, we’re ensuring that the festival leaves nothing but smiles in its wake and preserves the natural beauty of Arya Tea Estate for generations to come."
